any name or town will be suffiace. i notice not a lot of postings are done on job listings on FH, so word of mouth is the best i would presume.

"Good ol EOE" is not the problem. Affirmative action is the problem. Nothing at all wrong with giving everyone an equal opportunity, it's when people get an unfair advantage for being a so called minority that is unconstitutional.
That brings to mind that firefighter in Pontiac who is suing the department for their affirmative action hiring and promoting of a mandatory 1/3 minorities. He is also suing his own IAFF local for not having the guts to take a stand against these unconstitutional hiring practices. The IAFF local has, since the lawsuit, said that it is all for doing away with the crap AA hiring. Too bad they are about 20 years too late.
I wonder how many good firemen were not hired or promoted because of practices like Pontiac's. Even worse, how many crap people were hired and promoted. I would be embarrassed to be given a position for any reason other than I earned it.

Any other thoughts? Those are mine.

I agree with you totatlly,
not that im racist or anything and i do agree with EOE, i do not agree however with affarmitive action. i think its unfair how people are given an advantage based on the color of their skin. isnt that the defination of racisim?


So what benifits do i get cause im the white minorty in detroit?
