They have an intervention...:D

I suppose he'll become the "Wafer Mammal".

I truly think Oscar has a bigger problem...he's been on the streets for decades now.

Why is it I keep picturing a profusely sweating Cookie Monster rocking back and forth in a straight jacket screaming "C is for COOOOOKIE, not CARROT...BEEEYAAATCH!!!"

Less cookies for him, more for me.

The problem is not necessarily the food (though that is a huge part of it) but the lack of activity in children these days. Sit the kids in front of the TV, let them play X-Box all day long, no PE in school.

Hahaha.. I saw this on TV before and I can't believe they made a "news" story out of it.

This is just yet again another scapegoat for parents who are lazy and don't want to step up to the plate and do their jobs as parents. It's not Cookie Monster's fault their kids eat tons of junk food, who stocks the pantry in the house, surely it's not Sesame Street . If you don't want your kids eating crap then don't buy it, enforce good eating habits, model good eating habits. It's a shame when junk food is no longer a treat but a way of life. I'm getting real tired of things being changed, altered or done away with because people can't regulate themselves. What a helpless freaken society we've turned into when we need others telling us/our kids what to do because we are too lazy to do it for ourselves. What happened to parents teaching their kids the difference between life and pretend on tv?????

Poor cookie monster, C is for Cookie....!!!!

Me Cookie Monster, and me addicted to cookies.

1. Me admitted Cookie was powerless over cookies — that Cookie's life had become unmanageable.

2. Me came to believe that a Power greater than Cookie could restore Cookie to sanity.

3. Me made a decision to turn Cookie's will and Cookie's life over to the care of God as me understood Him.

4. Me made a searching and fearless moral inventory of Cookie Monster.

5. Me addmitted to God, to Cookie Monster, and to another monster exact nature of Cookie's wrongs.

6. Me entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7. Me humbly asked Him to remove Cookie Monster's shortcomings.

8. Me make a list of all monsters me had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

9. Me made direct amends to such monsters wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. Or cookies.

10. Me continued to take monster inventory and when me was wrong, promptly admitted it.

11. Me sought through prayer and meditation to improve Cookie Monster's conscious contact with God as me understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for Cookie and the power to carry that out.

12. Me having had a spiritual awakening as result of these Steps, me tried to carry this message to compulsive cookie eaters and to practice these principles in all Cookie's affairs.

This post has been brought to you by the number 12 and the letters CEA (Cookie Eaters Anonymous).

(And no offense meant toward 12-Step programs; they've saved and changed thousands of lives. I'm joking about cookies, not addiction.)
