So anyone else out there hooked on LOST? Any thoughts on the season finally? What do those damned numbers mean?

I caught the mid season update episode at my friend's house. I loved it and it really hooked me, but I'm going to wait for it on DVD so I can watch it in order so the surprises don't get ruined for me.

Watched it last night - highly disapointed! Now I have to wait until next season to find out who the "others" are. What the heck grabbed Lock and whats down the damn hatch (or who)! Yeah those pesky numbers??? Lost!
When does the next season start?????

If you can stand the fact that all the actors are in great shape and some are even overweight. All the women have makeup on and perfectly plucked eyebrows. And the clothes they've been supposedly wearing for weeks are only slightly tattered. Aside from all this, it is a pretty catchy show. Just after watching "survivor" for so long it's hard to buy that these guys are really lost. But there is a female actress on there with dark hair and blue eyes that is absolutley stunning...have no idea what her name is though. I've only watched it two or three times.

I have been hooked since the first episode like some sleezy crackhead. When he was being dragged did anyone else hear a metalic almost mechanical sound as he was pulled closer to the hole???? It sounded to me as if it was a winch winding slack.
Who are the others???? I think the others are offspring of a combination of drug lords, slaves from the ship, and evil government controlled virus carrying robots placed there by evil CIA operatives during the cold war.
Now take a heroin addicted government controlled robot infected with some government invented virus who is a couple generations from slavery, add a wierdo french chick and you will see that the island is infested with evil.

I think you're talking about Evangeline Lilly. A nice Canadian girl from Fort Saskatchewan. ;)

I love LOST... recorded all of them to DVD. But.. What is the point?
Every episode ends with them getting nowhere. They could have sumarized the whole season in a single, hour long episode. I hope the next season is more telling, and ONLY ONE EPISODE.

If you dig around a little you'll find a trailer for next season.

The difference with Gilligans Island and the rest is that each episode had a completed sub-storyline as well. There is just no resolution in each episiode of Lost. The most you get is a little more background on each character, which is redundant now.
I still watch it though. :p

I see, you need a quick fix, not a prolong story :D . You have a valid point, Lost is more like reading a good novel compaired to other such shows, and if you miss an episode or two you can quicly fall behind the plot. This may be why personally I am so attracted to the show, I also love reading series books such as Tom Clancy and Patrick O'Brien.
But still, episode starts and they are lost, episode ends and they are still lost until the end of the series.
