Forget fighting crime ......
I've been a very naughty girl, I think a take down with a very long "frisking" is in order, perhaps even a strip/body cavity search .....

I suspect he would be able to get many females to confess to crimes they never committed. Some people will do anything for dimples and cuffs:rolleyes:
Come to think of it my husband has dimples and cuffs:eek: :o

And the Ferrari was a nice touch. Even if it wasn't his.

There is no real comparison. Jack Lord was a cop and T. Magnum was not. J.L. fought crime, T.M. drove around the island looking for women.

Magnum Rocks!
Look at the supporting cast Higgins, Rick, TC, Mack tightnit group.
But on a serious note it did adress the Nam Vets issues about PTSD and other topics.

Tough choice. I see all the women are all hot and bothered over Tom Selleck though.
I think Magnum is pretty cool myself. He carried a 1911 .45 so that alone adds a lot of points.
Eh, I can't decide. I need to go study pediatrics. Please pray for me to pass tomorrow.

Let's throw in the cast of Hawaiian Eye which aired from 1959-1963. (Way before your time, I'm sure)
Robert Conrad as Tom Lopaka
Anthony Eisley as Tracy Steele (1959-1962)
Connie Stevens as Cricket Blake
Poncie Ponce as Kim 'Kazuo Kim' Quisado
Grant Williams as Greg MacKenzie (1960-1963)
Mel Prestige as Lt. Danny Quon (1960-1963)
Douglas Mossman as Marty (1959)/Moke (1960-1963)
Troy Donahue as Philip Barton (1962-1963)
Tina Cole as Sunny Day

Thomas Sullivan Magnum was far tougher and a much deeper character, but was not much of a crime fighter, more of a defender of honor and warrior against evil.
McGarrett was a cool cat, but never really learned what made him tick. Kind of a mysterious fellow, but put the bad guys away every week.
Magnum and the gang paid homage to McGarrett and the guys of Five-O a few times, but really got to say they were both great for their era's. And inspite of the multiple attempts at good Hawaii cop/crime fighting/baywatch shows since Magnum went off the air in 1988, no one has been able to even come close to matching either of these great haoles!

Ahem...
From the Brady Bunch - 4th Season - Episodes 73-75 (1972)
73. "Hawaii Bound," 22 Sep 1972 [72]
The family vacations in Hawaii. Bobby finds a cursed tiki. Don Ho cameos with a serenade of "Sweet Someone" for Bobby and Cindy.
74. "Pass the Tabu," 29 Sep 1972 [73]
Greg is nearly obliterated in a surfing episode, supposedly because of the tiki. A tarantula crawls on Peter. Barry Williams was in fact injured filming this scene, and Susan Olsen almost drowned filming the boat scene.
75. "The Tiki Caves," 6 Oct 1972 [74]
Vincent Price plays a crazy archaeologist who takes the boys prisoner when they try to return the tiki to a burial ground in a remote area of Oahu.
Don't know about Clint, Bruce or Charo... but the Brady's did fight crime in Hawaii!
(see, you did forget....)

To say that the Brady gang was fighting crime on their Oahu adventure is strrrrretching things a bit. Man we are talking REAL crime. McGarrett handled everything from dope slingers to cop killers to Chinese organized crime ...Not some little "tiki caper". Of course watching Alice try and do a hula dance WAS a crime.... AGAINST NATURE !

From the show Hawaii. Short lived episode, none the less Crime fighters in Hawaii.

I'd say Magnum. The Ferrari, Scorpion chopper, and 1911 .45 are pretty cool crime fighting tools. And Magnum didn't have a dash light either! :D Danno always got on my nerves but so did Rick. And crime fighting, if only part-time, would be second only to part-time girl chasing. :D :D ;) ;)
