I spent the day trying to repair/find the fault on my grand am
I was last able to use it driving home from work on saturday (a 2 hour drive) it ran great. put it on the drive and went to bed. My wife woke me up about an hour later and said she needed to use my car but it would not start. all it will do is turn over, I have tried everything but no luck with it.
I will never buy another pontiac...I will never buy another pontiac

Hmmmmmmmm I had a similar problem with my vehicle last year, ended up being the AVG valve. Apparently it has something to do with the exhaust system and had become clogged with carbon. Got it replaced (a $400+ touch) and it was running fine again.
Good luck with your car.

I used my day off to run to the city, buy groceries, do laundry, and get most of the necessities loaded into the travel trailer before we take off on the weekend. I also dodged some tricky questions about our dept and the former Chief. Was it really a day off or just a change of work venue? Hey! Maybe we can use this topic for a poll...:D

Apparently I am not the only one lacking something of importance to do.
I told you my brain is rotten. I cannot be held accountable for my actions. Wow, I am starting to sound like a defense attorney.

Thanks Weruj, but I don't drink alcohol. Yes, I know, a former Marine, former firefighter, that does not touch alcohol.
I'll take a stiff drink of water from you though.
I am alright now. I have just passed my pediatric exam (which sucked cow balls - my new phrase) of course now I have an evidence based medicine exam, but it counts for less. I am on the cusp of a week off and it will be in the 80s for most of next week - great for breaking in my new mountain bike - giddy up!

Today, well yesterday now I guess, I came home from fishing all night and got into bed at about 0430. Last time I noticed the clock was 0445.
0515 - Vehicle accident, first dispatched as a rollover, then we were advised it was 2 vehicles, head-on type collision, possible entrapment. Got on scene, to find one car in the ditch, no injuries, no entrapment. People with cell phones go stupid at the least little fender-bender. I don't like bystanders on cell phones. Watched the sun rise while waiting on the tow truck. Complained some more about the dang bystanders with cell phones that made me say, "Oh sh**!" at just after 5 in the AM.
0645 - Back in station, did the report, came home, got back in bed.
0730 - Alarm clock goes off to get my sister up and off to school. TRY to go back to sleep, but the dog had to pee.
0930 - Get up for good, go for a run, eat breakfast and get ready to head back to the station.
1100 - Back at the station. Thursday is fire dept. day, all day, every week. Made a new "TO DO" list, added some stuff that was already done just so I could check something off. Finished this month's newsletter, finished the paperwork for our fundraiser coming up, worked on my plan for the SAFER Grant, and did the NFIRS crap for the last month to send to the state.
1400 - Left to get some lunch and to get my sister to Girl Scouts by 1500.
1530 - Back to station to get stuff ready, was my night to do drill.
1900 - Drill.
2345 - Home, and here I am, wondering why I just took the time to write all that. I'd like to have the last few minutes of my life back now, please.
