VIPER 800 mghz radio system

Does anyone have any information on the VIPER radio system? Any help would be appreciated.

The VIPER System stands for Voice Interoperability Plan for Emergency Responders. The Highway Patrol will also work to partner with local and federal agencies to identify resources that can be shared to implement digital microwave systems. This plan will be developed based on a multi-phase process. This system would provide interoperability opportunities for voice communications between state, local, and federal authorities to include the FBI, DEA, ATF, Secret Service, US Marshals Service, and Military Police. thanks casar we were told that other agencies used it and thats pretty much it. I guess my question is are any Fire Departments in NC using this system. And if so are u having any problems or do you think its just the greatest thing since sliced bread.
