Does anybody know which section would be most suited for me to post questions regarding sprinklers?

I think you've found it, Bub, but you may also want to try looking into 'Fire Prevention'.

It depends.

Are you looking to dig the trench yourself, lay the pipe,
sod, etc? Add a timer and rain gauge? How big PVC?

Or are you going to have the kind that you connect to the
garden hose and move around every hour?

The best thing to do would be to go down to Home Depot and
talk to a lawn expert.

If we're talking about lawn sprinklers, I am the wrong person to ask. I am lucky to have lawn with the wildlife I have. Anyone know how to get rid of Voles?

Frosty, I've found a couple good cats work well. You will have to overlook the pile of "gifts" left for you in the morning, though.

I have a sprinkler system that was here when I moved in. What a pain in the a**. Constant work and a drain on the wallet. Id say just let the grass die and then plant ground cover and plants that dont need much water. Its called zeroscape or something?:)

While cats have always worked well before, Frosty is from Wisconsin and cats will no longer work...Our state is going to be opening a hunting season on them.. (I didn't say that was a bad thing)

When did they start making good cats?

You can not post a question. Every question that could ever possibly be asked has been asked. You must do a search and get your answer from there. If you ask a question, you will be told to DO A SEARCH.
Just kidding, kinda. Don't be suprised when it happens though.

And that depends on the question. Asking "How do I paint my lid?" will get the SEARCH comment.

Asking "What colour should I paint my lid, black or a nice Aubergine?" will just get a stunned silence. :D

People who dont like cats are just mad cause they cant just eat, sleep, eat some more, sleep some more, get their tummys rubbed...like cats can. Not too mention the cats are probably smarter then they are:eek:  :D ;)

A nice Aubergine? I prefer to drink my wine, not paint my lid with it! :D
