I live in South Greenville County and am wanting to know how to volunteer. Can anyone help me?

The best way to find out about becoming a volunteer is to go by the local fire station, depending on which district you live in. Or you can call. Most stations have training drills 2 to 4 times a month, depending on the department. You may also find that the department is what is called a "combination" department, meaning that they have both paid and volunteer personnel. In South Carolina, Firefighters are required by law to be 18 years of age. However, some departments have either a Junior Firefighter or Explorer program to start teaching interested youth. I hope this helps out some.
