I listen to ESPNEWS - "Mike and Mike" in the morning. This is where I get my morning humor - as well as my sporting updates. No time to watch ESPN in the morning. Been a faithful listner for about 4 years now. :p

Sorry about that E229Lt:) O.K., let me see if I can do some damage control. Don't want to make anybody feel like they're old. God knows that I don't like the fact that it is starting to happen to me.
I used the word "older" as in not some of this "so-called" rock they are puking out now. :D :D :D :)

Any station I can get to play country or classic rock-n-roll. A station gets axed if I can't sing along with the song or if a commercial comes along. Listen to news getting ready so no need to listen to repeats on the way to work. Need something upbeat to get me pumped for the day.

Hey, nowwwwwww.. For me it begins and ends with Howard Stern, first on 106.9 in Hartford, then when I get about 1/2 way to work, switch over to 92.3 K-Rock in NY. After all these years, he still does it for me. Who can ever get tired of lesbian dial-a date, porn stars, guess who's the Jew, and the like? HIIIIIIIIII DAAAAAADYYYY!!!! Are you proud of me?? Whooooooo's High Pitch...This is Kelly Clarkson... High pitch Eric, Gary (BaBaBooey) Dell'Abate, Wendy the Retard, Gary the Retard, Daniel Carver and the rest of the wack pack crack me up. Plus that fine Nubian Princess Robin Quivers. Can't wait till he goes over to um um um.

Self abuse? Never.
Check out http://www.di.fm/ , mouse over to "Listen Now", and go down to Classic Techno, then highlight the appropriate speed.
It's fun to dance too, just as good as some hip hop even.

Finally worked my way through the site. Very interesting. Without dating myself, I thought that techno, euro-music went out in the early 90's.?

I listen to classic rock on the way in to work. For the Western New Yorkers its Norton in the morning 96.9.
Artie,
Whats scary is that Quiet Riot, VH, Def Leppard, and the like are now being billed as classic rock and played along side some of the greats Hendrix, Stones, Janice, Zepplin, CCR. I just hope it isnt a sign that I am getting old. :)
And I too miss Opie and Anthony.

O&A, their on XM Satellite Radio now. XM is nice, no commercials, clear reception. (Just a subscriber).
I have to say I am not a big fan of O&A, other than WOW :D. Although one bit that was pretty hysterical was, they were polling women to see who pees in the shower! - Was pretty funny.

Rover's Morning Glory on 92.3 X-Treme Radio, Cleveland,OH.
Opie and Anthony's former Cleveland radio home for the afternoon drive time. Rover will soon be syndicated from the Cleveland station, but I hope that doesn't ruin the show.

NJ 101.5 with Jim Gerhardt in the morning.
He isn't republican, or democrat and just tells it like it is. But it's pretty depressing some mornings hearing about NJ corruption in politics.

I know you asked about on the way TO work in the morning......but your "morning drive" is my "afternoon drive." my "morning drive" is at 2330 hours and is Classic Rock (read hard 80's stuff). On the way home from work (read 0800 hours) it has to be Bob & Tom out of Canton on WRQK 106.9

I mix it up, depending on the mood.
Sometimes, it's Spike O'Dell on WGN 720 AM. He's grew up in our neck of the woods.
Or Chris LaGrow. He's the morning man at Laser 92.7 and is also chief of a volunteer fire department near me.
Or Bob and Tom. For obvious reasons. Or should I say "Mr. Obvious"?

Usually the Tom Bernard show on KQRS, here in the Twin Cities, but lately have been cycling through my Black 47 CD's. Used to listen to Stern when I lived in LA and when he was on here. Probably will get Sirrus when he makes the switch. The wife thinks he's too raunchy, but... IT's GUY STUFF!!!

I usually flip back and forth between:
Mike & Mike on ESPN Radio 1050 here in NYC area and
Curtis and Kuby WABC 770 AM.
Great sports show and great everyday show with Curtis and Kuby. They all play off each other well even if Kuby is a commie, herbal tea drinking liberal. lol.

It's barely a 5 minute drive to the enginehouse but..
I flip around to whatever station the doesnt have a commercial on for those 5 minutes.
1. Bob and Tom 103.9 (Chicago station)
2. Mancow Q101 (Chicago)
3. Indiana 105 (NW Indiana)..Try to catch the local news.
I agree with MIKEYLIKESIT...XRT in Chicago is one of the best rock stations in Chicagoland...I dont like listening to Stern on the radion, but his TV show is cool..just wish it was on HBO or some channel like that...lol..

Someone beat me to it- Opie and Anthony are back on the
air on XM.
Howard Stern is funny once in awhile.
In LA- Kevin and Bean on 106.7 KROQ are pretty good.
I got sick of Mark and Brain in the early 90s and those
morons are still on the air today in LA, Sacramento and
other places mentioned earlier.
Now if your in Sacramento, CA and Reno, Nevada- The
Rob, Arnie and Dawn show rocks and they are pretty
funny and original. Not your typical "wacky morning zoo"
stuff and more interactive with the listeners. They can be
found at 98.5 in Sac and 100.9 in Reno.
You can hear some of their show here-
http://www.robarnieanddawn.com/AudioFiles.htm
The "Listener Mail" feature is the best. They even read
the hate mail. (no playing programs to download nor need
to register anywhere)

Most of the time I change the channel until I find a song I like.
But if I do listen to a morning show it's either Lex & Terry on X 101.5 out of Tallahassee, FL or John Boy & Billy on Gulf 104.1 also out of Tally Town.
For those of you not familiar with Lex & Terry, they're the guys who have 'Drunk Bitch Friday'.

I prefer to listen to rock music in the morning but all there is on at that time is morning shows where DJs talk about what they watched on TV last night or what they did over the weekend. You know what, I could care less. Just give me some music. I'll flip though 9 channels and nothing is on. Long live cassette tapes and CDs!!!
