I'm thinking this is a weird co-incidence but:

Diana, Princess of Wales was the first woman to be presented to and have a non-religious meeting with the Pope in the Vatican.

Diana, Princess of Wales had good connections with Prince Rainier and was occasionally seen in the company of his wife, Grace Kelly in the early days of Diana's relationship with Prince Charles.

What are the odds that the Pope and Rainier would pass away so close the the Wedding of Charles, Prince of Wales and the Parker-Bowles woman, thereby delaying their nuptuals?

Did Diana get the last laugh on the Parker-Bowles woman?
