I assume you mean a portable/selfcontained pump unit? We recently purchased a CET with 18hp Honda twin for our new wildland/brush truck. 550gpm at 10psi or 100gpm at 100psi. So far pleased with it. As per conventional wisdom, the Honda seems a bit cold blooded (somewhat hard to start @ 34F/1st grass fire of the season). Runs great and really pumps though. Cost was right at $4100.

thanks neiowa, that hits it right on the head. I am in rural Oklahoma by Tulsa so we fight a lot of grass fires.

One of your neighbors has a lot of experience in putting things like this together. Call Bill Beall at the Silver City VFD, if anyone can give you some advice, backed by experience, in building Brush Trucks, it's Bill. One bit of advice from the East Coast, get something solid, that's built to take a lot of hard knocks.

I have to agree with neiowa about the CET pumps. We run CET pumps on all of our brush trucks and they work great.
