I read the post about the car fire and I remembered this , We were on a vehicle accident about a month ago and the front end was damaged pretty good , was a new car and for the life of me I cant rmemeber what it was but anyways. We were looking for the battery the car was either a 2004 or 2005 year , we looked under the hood it wasn't there. We looked in the trunk because Ive seen batterys in the trunk before wasnt there , we looked in the back seat and behind the drivers seat wasnt there either , because I've seen them there before as well.

Of all places for the battery to be it was in the front bumper right in front not more than 10 inches away from the front drivers side wheel.

Has anyone else seen this yet I figured I'd bring it to some peoples attention just in case because it took us a good 10 minutes to find the battery. And maybe someday 10 minutes will be way to long to find it.

I forget what kind of car it was I dealt with once, but I litterally had to rip the front left corner to pieces with the hurst to get to the battery. It was way down low in front of the wheel. Major PITA.

the car is a dodge intrepid. audi A4 and A6 has them under the cowl panel below the wind shield wipers.

some lexas have them under the rear seat as well. alot of cars are gong to battery back ups for security features like pats key system. not many volts behind them but if they get to a relay could be more than enought to trip air bag
