I'm looking for any large VA departments that run paramedic/ALS engine companies.
Does Arlington County Fire-Rescue have any ALS engine companies?

Well I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for but Dinwiddie kind of does. We have two companies that have ALS Ambulances however the rest of the company is a volunteer fire department. So usually its pretty much a job as a medic and then volunteer as a firefighter.

Arlington County does have one full time paramedic engine -- Company 3 (Engine 103) , Cherrydaly, is always a paramedic engine. The other engine companies in the county can be, from time to time, if one of the FFs on board happens to be a medic and the officer logs them into the system as such, but it's not normally a scheduled or regular thing.
Sorry for the late reply -- I don't get to check these forums that often anymore.

Pretty much all the fire departments in the Hampton Roads area run ALS engines. Most of these departments are 400+ in personnell. Hope this helps
