My family and I plan to visit New York City again soon. We'd like to stop by the Harlem Fire Factory, which I believe serves Harlem as well as parts of the Bronx (I think it's on Park Avenue). They used to have a website, but it no longer exists. Was this house closed, or is it still there? If it's still in existence, what are the numbers of the engine and truck quartered there? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.:)

Brenda,
The 'Fire Factory' is Engine 58/Ladder 26 located at 1367 5th Avenue... from memory this is along 5th a few blocks North of Central Park around the 100 teens.
I guess one of the FDNY Guys will confirm this.

The "Fire Factory" is located on 5th Ave at approx 114th Street. I say approx because there are no cross streets for 4 blocks as they are in the middle of a ton of housing projects.
It is the quarters of Engine Co. 58 and Ladder Co. 26.

Thanks for the info, guys!:) I think we'll probably park somewhere near Central Park and walk there. It doesn't look like there'd be too many places to park near the firehouse.

You're Driving from Ohio to NYC? You actually intend on parking your car in Manhattan during your stay?
Actually Harlem isn't like Midtown, or Lower Manhattan. Parking isn't that bad...but it isn't great either. I'm sure there will be some spots closer to the firehouse than Central Park.
