Haven't herd in Jersey but here in New Castle County Delaware we're always hiring. No Test, No Examinations. Just a decent Resume, NREMT-B, The ability to interview well, and the desire to work.

New Castle County has 21 Volunteer Stations of which 19 have supplimental Career Staff mainly for BLS Duties but we're Firefighters as well. Not to mention Janitors, and Administrators as well as anything else the general memberships of those companies don't feel like doing but it's a decent job -

Each company is individual - Not a County Organization - Yet - a few are IAFF Organized with more to follow soon

Best advice do a search online of Delaware Fire Departments to learn more about them....Occasionaly I'll post openings I know of.
