SCBA's through FEMA Grant

Has anyone else in Indiana received money to buy SCBA units this year? Does anyone know about the Respiratory Program I have been hearing about? We have agreed to some testing of our firefighters when we applied for the grant.:eek:

Since no one wants to fess up, here is what I have learned so far. 1.) IOSHA requires an annual pulmonary test done for all firemen who "could" use a SCBA unit. 2.) There is a required test for the SCBA unit every year that can be done by a trained firefighter testing the face mask every year. You must maintain these records for each firefighter and SCBA. Can anyone confirm or comment on these requirements.

Our dept recieved funding for SCBA's back in February...I have heard a little about having to take that test but nobody else in my dept seems to be interested. I am going to get some more info on it and see what needs to be done.
