Does any one have any idea if NY and when NY will adopt the new NIMS program. Also will they pass down a implementation schedule with suitable training?
Or will they just take their sweet time as usual?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This same foot dragging is also going on in Michigan.
See the Michigan forum.
Stay safe,

State of New York Executive Chamber Executive Order Number 26 Signed By Gov Pataki on 5 March 1996 established " the National Interagency Incident Management System -- Incident Command System as the State standard command and control system during emergency operations."
The NY State Emergency Management Office (SEMO) has developed and been implementing the training since 1998. The course has changed and grown with the changes to the system and its my belief that they are on-track with the newest version of NIMS. You should checkout their training page for course dates and locations. ICS-100 is available online thru EMI and SEMO.
