Espn just reported that Hall of Fame DE died this morning of a massive heart attack. Very sad.

In this day and age, when sports stars basically represent the worst of human life, Reggie White was an anomaly. He was a decent, caring individual with a heart as big as his head. He had unparalleled leadership skills and was the quintessential teammate.
It should also be a wake up call for those of us in "mid-life". If an athlete can die of a heart attack at 43, so can we.
May God bless his family.

ESPN was saying that he hadn't worked out in quite a while. Sounded like he lost motivation for it after retiring from football.
RIP #92!!!

Just read an exerpt of the statement issued by his wife and there is a mention of it possibly being respiratory arrest due to his sleep apnea.
Scarey, you do something as simple as fall asleep and you wake up dead!
I agree with George, this was one athlete that was worth looking up to in today's sports world!

Reggie White was definately a stand-out guy. He was the type of guy who would sack a QB six inches in the Dirt, then help him up after the Whistle and ask him how his family was doing.
He was also one of the best defensive players for one of the Best Teams in the League, the Green Bay Packers. :D

Reggie White was truly an athlete that people could look up to.
He will definately be missed, both for his spiritual leadership and the work he did in the community.
Reggie will always be the 'sack' leader for me.
