Was looking for a grant that may be out there other than the FIRE Act grant that may be used for upgrading communications? We're in the southern Illinois area. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

You can purchase commo gear under the homeland security grant program. They are trying to spend FY2003 2004 and 2005 $. Contact your county or state emergency management people and make sure you are "getting your share" of the SHSGP 1 & 2 grants and the State of Il and your county are not sucking it all up.
