Just read Frank Brannigans # 42. the tests done by Ed Murphy are a real eye opener.
There is a real potential that some fire department may soon find this impossible. National Gypsum has developed a lexan backed gypsum board which is quite resistant to penetration. We are indebted to Assistant Chief Ed Murphy of the Roberts Park, Illinois Fire Protection District who has researched this subject since his firefighter son Sean discovered the material being installed. He has conducted tests and will send you a copy of the test results by request to emurphy@robertsparkfpd.org. I urge you to get the test results so you may avoid a deadly surprise. So far I have been unable to interest any of our leaders in this significant problem.
