By far one of our best Presidents and one of my
favorites. I even have an autographed picture
in my name from him.

One of the very few people I ever looked up to
in government, next to Firefighters.

Rest in peace.

A legend has passed.......

A man responsible for putting this country and the military back on it's feet, survived an assasination attempt, watched the Berlin Wall come down, facilitated the end of the Cold War, and the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union. Yes, there were downsides during his term in office, but let's focus on the achievements made during his time.

Rest in Peace Mr. President

The first President I ever voted for. He brought the U.S. back from a deep morass and restored pride in our Country. He was far from perfect, but he was wildly popular, even among Democrats. I used to keep a picture of him giving Mary Lou Retton a big hug surrounded by American flags. My favorite Reagan moment was when he went straight to the source (Qaddafi) after the nightclub bombing in Germany. Libya never was quite so eager to be in the terrorism business after the U.S bombed ol' Muammar's house. He was one of a kind.it was too bad his last 10 years were spent in the darkness of that terrible disease.

I too feel sadened. Death is a part of life and normally I couldn't care less if a celebrity dies or what they do with their lives, they are no more important than anyone else, but strangely this is different.

I remember a dedication in the front of the book "Executive Orders" by Tom Clancy "To Ronald Wilson Reagan, Fortieth President of the United States: The man who won the war."

The Boston Herald posted a list of quotes from many of Reagan's speeches:

Well "Rotten" Ron, you are going to be sorely missed. You scared some of us Northerners a few times, but in good ways.

Rest in Peace.

I concur. I loved Ron back in the 80's...I was young then, but I still really liked him...

"In closing let me thank you, the American people, for giving me the great honor of allowing me to serve as your president. When the Lord calls me home, whenever that may be, I will leave with the greatest love for this country of ours and eternal optimism for its future. I now begin the journey that will lead me into the sunset of my life. I know that for America there will always be a bright dawn ahead."

Rest in Peace, Mr. President.

R.I.P.

I would have to admit that through my studies of US History I would have to say that he was overall on of the best. Ending the Cold War amongst other things...

Tis a sad day that is among us as Ronald Reagan is called home. He now rests in complete peace and is aware of those around him. We all shall join him in Heaven one fine day.

Keep a open place for all the fine Brothers and Sisters left here to wage the weary battle against flames.

President Reagan will be sorely missed.

I was lucky to serve under him in the Armed Forces. He was a godsend for our military and one GREAT Commander-in Chief!!!

History will be kind to the Reagan legacy... ended the cold war without a shot.

May he rest in peace and may God Bless America!!!

anyone notice that clinton was falling asleep at the services in the cathedral ?

Probably because no one was talking about him so he didn't feel a need to pay attention!

I didn't see the service as I was at a burn lecture, but I was hoping to see it.
