How has the weather been in your area?
Here in Southwest Ohio the weather has been terrible, its rained most of the week, and last, Most creeks and rivers are out of there banks. We have had a few Tornado Warnings, one actually touching down not to far from my house. We have seen our fair share of wind, we ran 4 weather related calls the other night, 3 trees into wires and one lightning vs. electric pole. Today we ran 2 weather related calls both were wires down, when a little bad weather came through.
There calling for some more severe weather this evening, lets hope there wrong, I am tired of seeing rain.

My flight lesson has ben cancelled 4 times due to weather conditions... it has been either high winds (Cessna's don't like high winds) or IFR conditions ( not good for a student pilot!)

It's June 1st and the temp is 49 degrees...does that answer your question?

The temp hit 104 yesterday with the dewpoint in the mid 70's, to add to the misery severe thunderstorms are popping up out of nowhere and dropping tornados and hail and zapping people with lightning....summer is here:eek: !

I was in Atlanta over the weekend and it was fairly nice a lil rain here and there but nothing big. Back home in southeaster ky was a different story. My department was out most of sunday night and monday morning cutting trees off the road and doing damage control/assesment and such as that. and there was one touchdown about 10 miles out of our district

Backdraft My gf, who lives near Hamilton, said her roads where just about completly flooded sunday i think it was.

and at my second home in richmond ky (central,ky) there has been a crap load of tornado warning lexington got hit hard with i think 3 or 4 touchdowns....

Here in downtown Maryland, it's business as usual. Today (Tuesday 6/1) I got up at 06:00 to Dense fog. Headed to work and ran thru a shower for about 1 mile. Got to work (30 miles South of home) and the sky had cleared, wind shifted to Northwest and got up to 15mph. Lunchtime was partly cloudy and calm, temp up to 76, from 62 at 07:00 by 14:00 severe weather warnings were being heard over the area. 15:30 Wind SW at35, gusting to 50, for about 15 minutes, Heavy rain. 16:15 Blue sky all over the place, wind W at about 5mph. Now, at 23:30, the sky is clear and the temp is back to 67. Don't like the weather in Maryland? Stick around a minute. It'll change.

Rain, rain, more rain, then some more rain just to make sure. Even the ducks are getting sick of it. They are spending all their time up on the house roofs!

We've been lucky in NW Ohio, nothing really severe, just rain, rain and more rain.

My main complaints:

1) I'm really tired of cutting the darn grass so much! I'm ready to pave the whole yard and paint it green.

2) The mosquitos will be very bad in the outlying areas that don't spray for them. Hopefully the media isn't going to hype up the West Nile Virus again this year.

A bit moist here in Motown. We had a tornado touchdown on Memorial Day just north of here. No watch/warning posted, just came out of nowhere and hit a strip mall - took parts of the roof off of a Lowes and a restaurant. No injuries.

Up here in the northeast hasn't been too bad. A few severe t-stroms, but nothing of major concern. 2 weeks ago it was in the high 90's now it's in the 60's.
Rev-speaking of Memorial Day tornadoes, We had a rare one here in 1995, even rarer, it was classified as an F4. It started in NY state and came over the line (my town borders NY state). We did get a warning...after the tornado had gone through. Watching it bounce around the mountains, we were all suprised that it reached F4 status. luckily it was later on in the evening so most of the tourists had started going home, or else more people would have been killed beyond the 3 that were. I was driving by one of the areas majorly hit the other day and I was amazed at how fast the pine trees are growing back on the side of the mountain. To people that didn't know a twister hit, you almost can't tell anymore.

Temps here are in the nineties with partly cloudy skies. Heat index yesterday was 107. It gets hot during the day, sometimes pop-up thunderstorms with lightning and hail come. Right now, dew point is 71.9 and SE winds are at 8mph.

We had so many tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings I lost count. I had to call in 5 storm reports to the NWS which is a record for me. Our street flooded twice and someone in a SUV was killed when a tree fell on it. We have had numerous trees and power lines down. One other spotter reported "18 inch tree down on the power lines in the back of my house". Sunday night I was lucky the grid I was on had power but a street over they were down until 10:30 at night, my wife, mother-in-law, and kid got stuck in a store when the power went out during a tornado warning (they were on the phone with me so I could tell them how to stay safe and keep them calm). Monday was going to be calm with no severe storms expected suddenly my pager goes off and the storm is in an adjacent county headed our way so we get a severe thunderstorm warning around 8pm and a 60 mph gust hits my area. No trees or anything else knocked down by me luckily but by my work limbs and a tree were down.

I am out on the British Columbian Coast and we haven't had nearly the amount of serious weather that you have had out in the midwest in the past few weeks.

I feel for you guys who live out in the midwest area, and have to deal with the weather that has been plaguing you guys. I have heard of all of the tornadoes and severe flooding that has occurred, and I do feel for you!

From east Tennessee:

Highs have been between the mid 70s and low 80s; lows in the 50-60 degree range.

Lots of rain -- fast moving thunderstorms that are typical of late spring around here. Certain areas (especially in southwest VA) have suffered localized flooding.

Looks like these trends will probably continue for the next few weeks. Makes me glad I have an apartment: no lawn to mow!
