Two Iron's walk into a bar, the first Iron says: "I think I lost an electron." The second Iron goes: "Are you sure?" The first Iron replies: "I'm positive."

:p A little corny, but I thought it was funny.

FiftyOnePride,
Did this joke come about by the t-storms rolling through the area? Seems like you got a bit electrified.:p How'd you guys fare down in Millerton? Coulda been a lot worse here in the southern berkshires.

whole lotta shakin goin on up here in southern NH. It's dry enough to work outside this morning, but I don't know how long that will last

As for Chemistry-- Noah & Nacho. NaOH & NaHCO3 -- that's how I remembered them!

Isn't our whole region due for major rain again today and tomorra' ?

We had some real good boomers and flashers last night. :D

We're a bit soggy in Motown. Lots-o-flooding. We're expecting another 1.5" of rain today.

At least the Sheriff's Dept is ticketing the idiots that have to be rescued because they thought they could drive through the water.

Last night was brutal for us, we had some horrible lighting, the pump house where I live got hit and did some damage to the pump itself.

Luckily it was not as bad as it could have been.

I do think that joke came out of the lightning.

The rain just wont stop!

We had some storms roll thorugh the kansas city area last night / late evening. I my self was north of the storm, and driving down K-7 got some of the best storm pictures I have ever taken. It was so weird how the 2 systems collided, and the sky was green. Some really cool lightning. I was actualy at a T-Bones baseball game, and a off-duty FF pointed out what looked like a wall-cloud comming out of the storm system to the north alittle after 8pm. I will try and post those pics once I find out how to get them off of my phone.

But I have seen storms much worse than that one.

Ok, I give up...Sodium Hydroxide and ????? (it's been a while since I've had to think about chemistry equations)

Ok, that's why I'm the Communications Diva of the IACOJ and not the Chemistry Diva!! I should have recognized the formulae from my medic classes, but I really, really hated my acid-base balance lessons and have tried mightily to forget them!!

Speaking of medic classes, does anyone else use the short form Rx for 'reaction', as well as using it for Prescription? . I've seen it used for both, it just depended in which context when I was making my ACR notes. I learned that in school, but some people I've worked with have never even heard of it

Another 'double' short form I've used is:
Tx for treatment and/or transplant

Any other interesting short forms used on your ACR's?

Your time for storms will come Bones. Hey, got to see a big flash in the sky today......not lightning, just a squirrel making contact with the 14000 volt lines. :(

Actually, I've always used Rx for treatment. Tx is transport. I guess that comes from learning the "CHART" method.

Cx - Complaint
Hx - History
Ax - Assessment
Rx - Treatment
Tx - Transport

As for Reaction......... I always used Rxn in all of my chemistry, Organic chemistry, Bio chem, Medicinal Chem classes........
