If you are in the NY Metro area, please take a look at this.

InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a cooperative undertaking between the U.S. Government (led by the FBI) and an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local government and law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to increasing the security of United States critical infrastructure.

We, as first responders are the front line of infrastructure protection. In the NY Metro chapter (http://www.nym-infragard.us) I am working to build out the membership and participation in the Emergency Responders area. The greater our momentum, the more information that will be shared with us.

Membership is free - all that we need is you. If joining this organization does not interest you, I urge you to at least connect to http://www.disasterhelp.org and get signed up for the infograms.

Infragard is a national organization with over 11,000 members - if you are not in the NY Metro area, but would like to join, go to http://www.infragard.net to find a local chapter.
