Finger Flushed After Fight
Woman Accused, Arrested For Finger Biting

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport woman is under arrest, accused of biting off another woman's finger during a fight in February.

Police said the finger then was flushed down a toilet.

Takoe Dawkins, 25, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree assault.

Police said she and the 23-year-old victim were fighting over a man inside a Bridgeport home on Feb. 20.

Police said Dawkins grabbed the other woman's right ring finger and chomped down, severing it. Someone then picked up the digit and disposed of it in the toilet.

The victim was treated a Bridgeport Hospital.

She later identified Dawkins as the attacker, leading to Thursday's arrest.

I think that the whole finger severing thing is symbolic. :p They were fighting over a man, so she bit off the other girls finger so she couldnt put a ring on if she got married to him or something. ;)

IF she was dumb enough? Actually they were probably facing each other and she thought it was the left, i mean right, i mean left??:D

Actually now that I think about it, I think we may be giving her a little bit too much credit for thinking that far into it. I think it was just a question of chomp the finger off first, ask questions later!! :eek:
