2004 Governor's Emergency Responders Conference

Just returned from the 2004 Emergency Responders Conference. Anyone out there attend this meeting? And what was your thoughts?

Overall I guess it was a good meeting. there was the typical political back slapping (look who I am and what I did sorta stuff) Some of the meeetings were informative. But the best part was talking with other responders (mostly firemen) and findign that the problems we are having with the RRT money MEMA and city purchasing departments is the same no matter where you are Gulfport, Hattiesburg or Hernando....

Yes, I would agree. It's a shame that it took planes flying into buildings (the old someone has to die first bit) to wake up the people on the hill and start the monies flowing down to the first responders.
Some of it was useless, but I enjoyed meeting everyone that I had a chance to.
Hattiesburg? Real nice town.
