There actually is a differance, the Halligan tool is made of one solid piece of metal, and the Hooligan tool is made of seperate pieces welded/pinned together. This is at least what i have been told, someone correct me if i am wrong.

Someone (I forgot who) said that the Hooligan Tool is the name for the Halligan Style tool that is, like, four feet long. I dunno. Anybody?

From what was explained to me a Halligan is the traditional tool that we've all come to know and love, and the Hooligan is a ribbed longer bar that has a bigger spike that actually weighs less then a Halligan despite being 36"-40" long. But I don't know if that's the actual difference, but that's what I was told.
