I was looking for some ideas for a song or two to use in a power point presentation. This is for an annual banquet that we have, mostly with pictures of incidents, training, and other things from this past year.
One I was thinking about was maybe "Fire on High" by Electric Light Orchestra. Last year we used "Funeral for a Friend" by Elton John. Just looking for something different.........

Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire"
If you're looking for pure background music, and I hate to say this, but Yanni has a lot of songs you can use. Also Manheim Steamroller is great background also.
Good luck.

Seeing how they are fire service based try: The Rising or Into the Fire by Bruce Springsteen off the album The Rising. A great album if you read the lyrics, even if your not a Boss fan.

I still haven't decided yet. I have listened to some of the songs that are listed, but not all of them.
From what I have listened to, I am still kinda leaning towards ELO or maybe Bruce Sprinsteen, but I still have more to listen to.
And believe me, the lemons are going to be strong that night........

Are you talking about Alabama instead of Alan Jackson?

I worked 16 hours Friday night and 12 hours Saturday night, so I was either at work or sleeping all d@mn weekend!
I knew I should have applied for that cushy dispatcher job there on Monroe St. :(
Here's how tired I was: We got dispatched for a structure fire at 1800 on Saturday and my whacker-@ss slept right through the pager, our siren and Morin Point's siren. Ended up being a false alarm.
