How do you think the playoff picture will shape up?

Who will play the AFC and NFC Championship?

Who is going to win the Super Bowl?

captstanm1

I am thinking it will be like this..

The top 4 AFC Teams will be:
Titans
Colts
Chiefs
Bengals (hey...its a reach...but...)

The Top 4 NFC Teams will be:
Cowboys
Carolina
Seattle
Philly

AFC Conference Championship:
Titans vs Colts

NFC Conference Championship
Carolina vs Dallas

SUPER BOWL
Carolina vs Tennessee

WINNER=Tennessee

Here's a sure bet...

It WON'T be Giants vs. Jets!

However...
Never underestimate the Tuna.

ok...4 teams left....and I did not do so good. However, All of the teams I identified made the playoffs except 1.

My Titans lost in a heart breaker and even though I picked them to lose in the early rounds, I realistically knew Philly would be there...

So...here we go...

Colts 31 Patriots 23

Panthers 21 Eagles 20 (As long as Stephen Davis plays and is healthy)

Super Bowl Colts 35 Panthers 14

Yep, that's all we can do here in Minnesota, talk or read about the super bowl. Some how we just don't have the teams with a desire to actually be in one...:(
I hope Tony Dungy goes all the way, let a few teams eat crow- especially the Vikings.

Tomorrow I think the Patriots will beat the Colts and the Panthers will beat the Eagles and in the super bowl will be Patriots vs. Panters and the Patriots will win. Thats how I'm placing my bets.

Colts all the way, after they beat us at home, I think that peyton deserves that ring. I am actualy a chiefs fan, and am rootin for the AFC the whole way. Well Greg Robinson is now gone, if Gunther comes back and our offense stays the way it is, we will have a shot next year. While gunther was our Defenseive Cordinator, We had the best darn defense in the NFL. Robinsons read and whatever didnt work, now its up to gunthers "destory the enemy" tactics to win us a superbowl

Certainly a disappointing display for the Colts. Guess it was just not meant to be their day.

But I been saying all along that you need to watch Carolina. Even with a hobbled Stephen Davis they manhandled the Eagles.

Super Bowl XXXVIII...... Panthers 26 Patriots 24

Sorry....gots to call em as I see em!

Peyton this, Peyton that, isn't Peyton wonderful......

Peyton Manning was supposed to leave Patriot heads spinning with his amazing passes.

Ty Law apparently didn't get that particular memo. :p :D

The NFL's number 1 offense smashed heads with the NFL's NUMBER ONE DEFENSE and NFL's most under-rated QB........ and came up short.

If that's the BEST the NFL can do offensively..... bring on the Panthers!!!!

Patriots favored by 7 points in early odds

(Las Vegas-AP) -- The New England Patriots, having won an
impressive 16 games this season, are Las Vegas oddsmakers' pick to
gut out one more victory when they meet the Carolina Panthers in
Super Bowl 38.
The Patriots beat the Indianapolis Colts 24-to-14 in today's
A-F-C title game. They were made a seven-point favorite over the
upstart Panthers by four of the biggest Las Vegas sports books.
The Panthers earned a spot in the Super Bowl by defeating the
Philadelphia Eagles.
Bob Scucci, Stardust sports book director, said he posted a
seven-point line with eight minutes left in the
Carolina-Philadelphia game.

Artie.. no way!!!!

If the New England Patriots can kick butt in the freezing cold...imagine what they will do in a warm climate!

They will be practicing in a heated "dome" at Gillette Stadium for two weeks to prep for the pummeling of the Panthers!

Sorry, but aren't you about 4 years premature. I would hope there would be a major re-building program in the land of the silver fern.

Oh well at least it wasn't Muenster (couldn't resist).

Prediction, All-Blacks defeat Wales to win in 2007.

heated "dome" Poop on that! Football should be played like it was this past weekend...outdoors in the cold!

I wouldn't have a problem with them playing at the Razor in February...the Fox & the NFL might when the half-time show gets snowed out, froze out, or both!

Hmmm, maybe they could have the half-time at Houston and just Jumbo-tron it up to Foxboro :D

I agree! That's how they trained to beat the Titans and the Colts. Since they are going to Houston, they have to "acclimate" themselves.

Go Patriots! Pummel the Pants off the Panthers!

Aren't they all boring? That's why the game is nicknamed the Superbore and in general the most exciting aspect is the commercials.

Panther fans are already talking trash....

Remember what a few of the Colts stated to the press before the AFC championship game?

"the NFL might as well hand us the Super Bowl rings now..."

Where are the Colts now? oh yeah, INDY!

GO PATRIOTS!

I love football, but when it comes to the Supr Bowl, it's all about the commercials. Pee breaks and breaks for food and beer come during the game, not the commercials

I am with E229Lt....except I think it will be more exciting and the score will be more like this:

Patriots 23- Panthers 21 with less than 1 minute and the Panthers kick a field goal to win it 24-23.

This has all the trappings of being a defensive Super Bowl. Both teams like to line up and pop people in the mouth on D...and that's the way, as a former defensive back, I like it.;)

Of course, now that I've said that it's liable to be 49-42.

As much as I'll hate to see it because it'll mean all I'll see here till next fall is bandwagon Panther fans, I say Carolina 27 New England 17.

No band wagon Panther Fan here.

I am a Redskins fan true and true...but i am a realist. Each week I expect them to lose (Before Gibbs of course) and then I am presently suprised if they win!

But This year I have followed very closely the Titans, Colts and Panthers as well as the Jaguars. Even attended at least one game fore each of the teams (except panthers because I could not get tickets when they were in Fla).
I follow those teams because:

#1 I have met Steven Davis of the Panthers when he was a Redskin and came to an Art Monk Football Camp that I work and I have said all along, that he was what the Panthers needed. He is an awesome RD and a great person in addition to that.

#2 Erron Kinney for the Titans is a friend of mine and is also a Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief in his hometown in Tenn.

#3 Cato June (a rokie from the Colts) hails from Washington D.C and University of Michigan and is a friend to me and both my sons. I met him at Art Monk Football Camp where he was one of my Dorm Counselors and eventually a Co-Dorm Director with me.

#4 Byron Leftwich of the Jaguars (Marshall University) falls into the same category of Cato June.

SUPER BOWL...Carolina vs Tennessee I picked Carolina to be in the Super Bowl from the start of this thread...but I also picked Tennessee to be there to beat them.
