worcester Firehouse

Does anyone have any info on the now closed worcester firehouse at 126 eastern ave. I need the year it was built. thanks, kallipayne@hotmail.com

I know it was built back in the early days of horse drawn wagons. I remeber growing up in the neighborhood and going there and haveing the old Hay Loft pointed out to me which is where the pole was located.
It was sold to a private party from the City of Worcester back in the late 80's- early 90's after suffering damage thru a 2 alarm fire which from what iheard the neighbors started becuase they didnt want to see the station closed and moved to the new SouthEast Fire Station on Grafton St.
