A Kiwi meets an Aussie herding sheep in the Black Hills.
Kiwi: "Hey, cool dog you got there. Mind if I speak to him?"
Aussie: "Dog don't talk."
Kiwi: "Hey dog, how's it going?"
Dog: "Doin' all right."
Aussie: (Look of shock!)
Kiwi: "Is this Aussie your owner?" (pointing at the Aussie)
Dog: "Yep."
Kiwi: "How does he treat you?"
Dog: "Real good. He walks me twice a day, feeds me great food and takes me to the lake once a week to play."
Aussie: (Look of total disbelief)
Kiwi: "Mind if I talk to your horse?"
Aussie: "Horse no talk."
Kiwi: "Hey horse, how's it going?"
Horse: "Cool."
Aussie: (Extreme look of shock!)
Kiwi: "Is this your owner?" (pointing to the Aussie)
Horse: "Yep."
Kiwi: "How's he treat you?"
Horse: "Pretty good, thanks for asking, he rides me brushes me down often, and keeps me in a lean-to to protect me from the elements."
Aussie: (Look of total amazement)
Kiwi: "Mind if I talk to your sheep?"
Aussie: "Sheep lie."

I was thinking about you this week. The National Sheep Dog Championship is being held on the land adjacent to my federal job.:D
