So Johnny Cash dies, while John Tesh releases yet another "album".
Am I the only one bothered by this?

I was raised on Johnny Cash. Having his songs played on my parents 8 track  I have never been much of a Country fan, but always respected his talent and values. I happened to catch his last video a few weeks ago while my daughter was watching the local music station. By the end of the video I am not ashamed to say I was bawling. The collage of his life and the words of the song combined to send the message that he knew his time was near. He will be missed.
As for John Ritter, I used to watch 3's company every week and after school during reruns. A fantastic actor and a genuinely funny man.
The world is a sadder place for both their passing.

I can't say I'm a big country fan, yet Johnny Cash's body of work cannot be ignored

Even though I grew up in and around Nashville, I have a pretty intense dislike for country music. Johnny Cash was one of a very few artists that I liked. (I had most of his Sun albums growing up.)
What a sad day for the music biz.:(
