Alternative foam solution ???

Has anyone used a alternative foam solution in a pinch? Like Dawn, Ivory or Palmalive dish soap. Budget, and volume of grass and brush fire calls keeps us out of foam concentrate, and to get it here can be days away. Ideas would be appreciated.

We put Dawn in our tender (not a lot), because of the frequency of brush fires. We use the monitor & preconnects on the tender, depending on manpower. It's not foam, but does "make the water wetter". Also, our supplier told us that the foam concentrate could damage the vavles & seals on our older tender, but soap was OK.
