Pearl City is honoring Dal Murray Saturday night for serving us as chief for 30 years at our annual fireman's ball. Any well wishers can email him at pearlcityfire@mchsi.com or stop in to the dance(8-midnite Eagle's Club Freeport). We will be giving him a special presentation that evening.

Would anyone care to top that?

WHOA!!!!
You guys are old, 30 years ago I wasn't even a twinkle, and my parents were like 10.
The older you get the better you were.

Lets see here, thirty years ago, my mother was 16, dad was 17, and I was 6 years from existence. So, who feels old now?

The question is "who feels young"?
You do?

Heck with it; Jay, let's start an Illinois junior thread for the younguns!:D
God; I needed this. That crap over at the homestead was starting to get to me. Thanks, Wub.;)

Yoor welkome. U now, beeing nu and al, I aprecyate the junur forums. Na, can't do it. Alas, even I can't speak explorer jibberish. I feel young, sure as heck act young, but have a great deal more grey hair at 23 than I should. But if you think I'm young, we have a new guy newer than I.

Heck with it; Jay, let's start an Illinois junior thread for the younguns! Excellent idea CR. We've added 7 guys in the last 10 months ranging from 19-25 years old and that is one of the 3 reasons why I am, after all these years, taking the FFII class with them. I thought it would ge beneficial to them and PC Fire to get them off with the right head on their shoulders.
The other 2 reasons you ask? 1. We were never offered any training before. It was this is the way we do it cause this is the way we've always done it:confused: 3. The biggest reason I am taking the class with the youngsters-I couldn't let a bunch of youngsters show me up!:p :D
