Just an observation....
Can't diseases just have NAMES anymore? I mean H.I.V. and A.I.D.'s and now S.A.R.S...sheesh. What happened to names like Leprosy...Ebola...Rabies or the Granddaddy of them all..."Black Death" or THE BUBONIC PLAGUE!!!!!!! Good grief, even fish get "The Ick". I can't imagine Blue Oyster Cult singing "Don't Fear the S.A.R.S." I guess "Big Nasty Cold that can Getcha" isn't too swift of a name either...
Oh well...just an observation...

Well, it's just more convenient to say "SARS" than, oohhh, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome....
Anyone want to go to Toronto??

Toronto is major metropolitan center, so everything goes through there. We got some here in Edmonton, too. Go figure.

It has come to our attention here at the "Cletus Fire Academy" that many female firefighters still continue to be victims of insensitivity in the workplace. Those of us here at the Academy have developed a new program that we feel fosters a positive, healthy outlook on this issue. We are aware that many male firefighters hold stereotypical views in regard to female firefighters...such as "They're no help on the fireground". Through our new 14 hour course, "Broads In Turnouts Can Help", we hope to finally put insensitivity and negative attitudes to rest. Those receiving this training will be part of the new statewide "B.I.T.C.H." task force...and will be entrusted to stamp out insensitivity wherever it rears its ugly head.

Stayback.
Is that the same academy that offered a combined course on Fire And Rescue Training F.A.R.T.
Always wondered how qualified you had to be to pass that.

Of course if you are falling behind at the Fire Academy, you could be provided with Special High Intensity Training to catch up :) :D
