If you guys wouldn't mind helping me, I want to move to NYC here in the next 4 years. Where can I find a cheap, but not poor, apartment somewhere in Brooklyn? I have other questions, please PM me and I will ask! THANKS AGAIN YOU GUYS!

ROTF LMFAO

"cheap apartment" and "NYC" aren't two things that generally go together

Yeah, I know. My idea of cheap is $1000 or (hopefully) less. I'm going to have a roommate, so that shouldn't be so bad if we split the rent. Are there any jobs up there that actually pay enough to pay that off, groceries, car, utilities, and everything else? You'd have to make at least $4,000 a month, it seems...

If you can get a job as a firefighter, you'll be eligible for public assistance for your first four years!

I know of one in Gerritsen Beach, but since I am divorcing his daughter I don't think my soon to be ex-father in law would really like to hear from me.
