In case you all wondered!!
10 reasons why Canada won't join the war?
10. We have no way of getting there.
9. We are too busy at home with the Maple Syrup Season.
8. After 136 Years, we are still copying France.
7. Saddam's name pronounced backwards is "Madd Ass".
And, we already have one of those.
6. There is only limited potential for sales of Canadian Bacon
in Iraq after the war.
5. Our Sea King Helicopter was damaged and needs repairs.
4. Celine Dion can't sing to the troops because she has a
contract in Las Vegas.
3. The Rivers in Iraq are too shallow for our War Canoes.
2. Lousy hockey in Iraq at this time of year.
1. Our army is needed at home in case of another snow storm
in Toronto.

Well, the main reason we're not involved in the war is because our snow shoes aren't made for sand. So how would we lumberjacks go aboot traveling around, eh? And damn if we'd miss Maple Syrup Season. We need that stuff for topping our donuts with.
Give me a break. We're not a bunch of idiots running around in toques and living in igloos. Just becuase our country's leader doesn't agree with yours doesn't give you grounds for insulting us. Remember, all firefighters in this forum aren't from the great and powerful U.S.A.
Maybe some of you guys should spend more time on geography, too. Most of the Americans that I've met in your various states didn't even know that Canada has PROVINCES, not states, and they didn't even know the names of the provinces, or where they are located.

Good one aboot the snowshoes, with all the snow we've gotten lately, I thought I might have to use mine this summer when I go to the beach!
Check out the title of the thread, however. There is the word 'funny' in parentheses, meaning I posted it as a joke. Also, look where I'm from (Ok, ACTON itself is a joke, but that is for another thread)...I'm from Canada too eh? If people are going to make fun of us, then let's beat them to the punch!! Besides, Canadians have such a great and quirky sense of humour (note the spelling!) that we just have to share it with the rest of the world.
Now excuse me while I jam my toque over my ears and get back to shovelling out the snow from my front walkway...the postie can't deliver the mail to my igloo.
Cheers
Pat

Yeah, I'm an idiot. I noticed AFTER that you were from Canada. I apologize. Trust me to put my foot in my mouth. Well, at least I have enough maple syrup to drown my sorrows in. :p

Well, last night, our friendly little rainshower turned into more snow, so heads up down there. LOL.
Try lying in a tanning bed a few times. It gives you a nice little glow. I love it. Don't do it too much though, or you'll turn into a piece of brown leather. :D

THE GOOD NEWS! Canada has offered to help the U.S. in the war on terrorism! They have pledged 2 battleships, 6000 troops and 10
fighter jets.
THE BAD NEWS, With the current exchange rate, that comes out to 2 canoes, a mountie and a couple of flying squirrels :D :D
