An Indie is a FF who has their act together and can change job positions and if needed, be sent to other depts, integrating into their systems with few, if any glitches. The Indie creates on-going good-will with John Q. Public and within the FF framework. Once they have worked with other departments, Indies are often requested to interface with those departments on an on-going basis to the benefit of all. This interfacing is most often seen during MA incidents, Public Education events, and Program development. Known for their hard work and willingness to adapt where necessary, Indies exude a good attitude while performing their tasks and exit with a smile and handshake when their task has been completed. The Indie is the FF who everyone knows at least, by their good reputation, if not personally.

WOT is short for "Women of the Tundra"...those members of the female persuasion who live North of the US border..although there are honorary WOT's who live in the US...
