The oral interview portion of a department often is the most important portion of a departments testing process. I cosistently score very well on written exams, my most recent was 97%. I am currently employed as a fitness consultant at a major gym, and train religiously so the PAT is no problem for me. Most departments grade the PAT on a pass/fail basis so my performance here offers me no advantage. I am EMT-B cerified and am currently studying fire science technology in order to earn an associates degree in the same field. I plan on continueing my education in both areas of EMS and fire science and pursueing as many different fire-related certifications as possible. I, however, am not a veteran of the armed-forces or a legacy in any department. This means to have a prayer I need to test and interview perfectly. I am confident that I interview well and have experience interviewing others at my current job. I need some advice on how to best respond to the oral interview questions in order to recieve maximum credit. My past answers, though valid, have not been the ideal responses require for full credit. Any advice or comments anyone has would be invaluable and greatly appreciated.
