Firefighter AND Phys. Assistant?

Has anyone heard of combined jobs for firefighters and Physician Assistants? Obviously firefighter/EMT or Medic is pretty common, but I'm wondering if there is anybody hires this combination.
Anybody know anything about this out there?

This should be interesting. I am heavily considering attending a PA program myself in the next year or two.

It seems to me I read an article that talked of some more progressive services staffing an ambulance with a NP or PA so they could truly bring an ED to the Pt. a few years ago. It was in the beginning stages but it should be interesting to say the least.

I haven't heard anything like this being done up in Canada, but mind you the things that are down in the USA differ than up in Canada.
