No, we didn't get ANY snow! It is pretty warm here too. My stats, Weber Fire District for paid job, Smithfield Fire Department for volunteer. Snow would be nice, but not in the Valley... :D

Hum, lets see, I remember you coming out to Utah to test and you did not make it past the Written portion of testing. You were not high grade enough for us here. It is a good thing you stayed there in your little safety bubble. :D  :p

Good thing I didnt get hired there in 1998. And I
remember you testing back here RECENTLY and blew
chunks as well. And remember how nice our safety
retirement is compared to yours....BAHAHAHA

Utah is far superior then California! (Although I've never been there) Where did you test at?
My vote goes for Utah! :D

BlackJackCo, work in Weber County and live in Cache Valley. You know a medic named Darger? I can't remember if he works for Midvale or Murray, who has the yellow medic rigs? He's an awesome guy! He works there part-time (or did last I heard) and works for West Jordan or West Valley full-time (I get everything down there confused!).

Troy Darger? He is a full time medic with South Jordan and Part Time with us. I believe he is on A platoon with us and possibly C with SJ.
He might also work with Murray (the yellow rigs - [they were looking at painting a firefighting twinki on the side of their new ambulances for an emblem - Fits it well]).

Troy Darger, yes! I think he is an awesome guy! He taught me a ton while he was still with Logan FD. I really enjoy him. Last I saw from him was at Fire School a couple years ago. Everything I ever had to do with him on calls he was always an excellent medic! If you see him tell him Mark Pitcher said hello please.

Will do if I see him. I normally don't work on his shift, and will be going to medic school on the 6th of Jan. So I won't be around much. But I'll let him know you said howdy when I do see him next.
By the way tell us a little about the LFD. Size? Apparatus etc.
Midvale has 2 stations. 30 Full time personel including combat and administrative. Approximately 25 part-time combat personel.
We run a 1997 Pierce Quantum 75' Quint, a 2000 Pierce Dash 1750 pumper w/50' Tele-Squirt and 2 ambulances 24/7 as our front line units. We also operate a HAZMAT unit, water rescue, and tactical medics besides the standard BLS, ALS, and Fire.
I'm the engineer on C Platoon for the Dash.

Weber Fire District is 36 full-time with Admin and combat. We run out of 5 stations, 4 are manned 24/7. We have a station in Farr West, one in Eden, one in West Haven, one in Upper Unitah and an engine stationed in Huntsville. We run 3 man engine companies. Engine 61 & 63 are 1998 Pierce Dash 5 man cabs with 1500 GPM 750 gallon tanks with 50 gallons of Class A & B foam. Engine 62 is a 2000 BME on a Frieghtliner chasis. 1250 GPM with 500 gallons and 5 man cab. Engine 64 is a 1989 Pierce Arrow with 4 man cab, 1250 GPM and 500 gallons of water. We respond as First Responder EMT-B level. No ambulances. Approx. protected population is 70,000. We protect 5 communities and all of unincorporated Weber County. We about 40 part-time and reserve members. Station 61 runs about 1000 calls a year, 62 about 500+, 63 about 800 calls and 64 about 400 calls a year.
Smithfield Fire Department is 35 volunteer members responding out of 1 station. Engine 40 is a 1991 Pierce Dash with 5 man cab, 1250 GPM with 500 gallons of water. Engine 41 is 2002 Pierce on Kenworth chasis. 1250 GPM single stage pump with 1000 gallons of water. (www.smithfieldfire.org) We protect 4 communities and other parts of unincorporated Cache County. We respond as First Responder EMT-I's. SFD runs about 400 calls a year.
Logan I think has about 40 full-time firefighters with no part-time or volunteers.
