There was a rumor circulating at the IACOJ meeting last night that Mongo was posting in the Forums. But, alas, I didn't see it.
Mongo; can you give us a call to let us know that you're all right?
We are worried about you. Did you lose a bet and have to give up posting for awhile? Maybe you decided to go back to college? Or you've found something else more interesting and time consuming.
I'm about ready to have your picture put on milk cartons.
It's been tough without you. Please come back.
We miss you; I miss you. I mean that in a "healthy" way.

Well put Gonzo, I dont think I would have done it in song but well put. :)
I do believe it is time to activate the FF assistance and rescue team (FART) to locate and bring our lost brother back. PARs have proven ineffective. Activate FART now!

Okay, somebody give an update. I have been out of country for about four months courtesy of uncle sam......did someone steal mongo? What happened?

Huff:
Mongo is AWOL. He has not posted one of his hand crafted, finely sculpted pieces in quite some time. He has been absent from the IACOJ meetings. Cheffie has been in contact with him, but we haven't. We just want to know that he's OK; you know, eating right, cleaning himself, taking his vitamins and watching "Hardball with Chris Matthews".
FARTs or not; it stinks without Mongo!
If I only had three wishes, they would be for 1)world peace 2)to be a judge at the Miss America pageant 3)a good, old-fashioned Mongo rant.
Then, I could die a happy man.
Mongo; I turned 50 and not even so much as a wink from you?
Bah!

You didn't leave me your number.

Maybe you decided to go back to college? Or you've found something else more interesting and time consuming.

Something came up that did require a break from posting, pretty much just been family and work for the last few. Everything's cool now though.

Except this week I'm sittin' in Austin bored to tears... 6th Street just don't have that same flair...

I do believe it is time to activate the FF assistance and rescue team (FART)

Do they have a certain smell so I can tell if they're close? Or are they just noisy?

Dude, I'ma lot uglier than that. Besides that 'stache and chin hair ain't NFPA compliant.

That was ME ranting about the cry for world peace outside the Miss America contest!!! Man, I couldn't get the contestants to leave me alone. Good thing I had a chaperone.

Hey, anyone need some phone numbers, I know 50 more chicks that need dates...

I turned 50 and not even so much as a wink from you? Bah!

Happy belated birfday, amigo.

50?! Wow...

That's, like, really old. and not far away for me.

Bah! Indeed...

But seriously...

Thanks for the concern, everythings good now, just had some bidness I had to handle on this end. SuperChef and I exchanged a few emails and she said ya'll were looking for me. I had no idear there was a forum topic until another member told me via PM just the other day.

I'm back to some degree, had to change my name because I'm an idiot (forgot my password to FH and to my yahoo account).

What I just realized the other day was that I quit posting the same time the FF from Allen shot his wife. I am pleased that nobody put 2+2 together and got 5 and thus, thought that was me.

Thanks ya'll. Really.

Mongo

It is a pleasure to see you back in good form here in the forums. You have been missed. Perhaps this calls for a dinner in honor of your return.

Mongeaux or whoever you call yourself; your reply had very familiar tones. It looked like Mongo and felt like Mongo, but I don't know....
I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. Hell, man, I accused you of being an imposter at one of our IACOJ Sunday nite meetings. You had posted but it just didn't have that "mongo zing" to it. No quotes; not one bit of rapier wit-I wasn't convinced. I even went to your profile and there was NO information. No Dallas-Fort Worth area; no nothing. So I thought the worst; I thought Mongeaux was impersonating Mongofire99. And that would take big, big well-you-know-whats.
And then you called me "amigo". Only Mongo would call me amigo. No one else has ever called me amigo. I'm getting goosebumps.
But for the real test; movie trivia. Here it is; a quote (paraphrased) from one of the all-time classics-"Are you talking about the worm or the piece of vermacelli?" What movie; who said it and who played him?
Don't anyone help him.
Don't disappoint me.

I've been here a while and read with great intrest
Mongo's posts. I'm with you ChiefReason I dont'
know if it's really him. I base this on the fact
that in all the posts of Mongofire99 I have never once
seen the word "Y'ALL" used. Just an observation.
