No, it's not mine. I'm planning on getting a new pickup truck next year and I found it while I was looking for ideas.

Here's a link to the guy who painted the truck, Killer Paint (http://www.killerpaint.com/index.html).

The guy does some awesome work, but I would imagine that it's pretty expensive, since it's so well done.

Talking of flames on a truck ,we had a neighbouring brigade a little while ago dispatched to a house fire and on the way, their pumper caught fire in the cabin!

They jumped out of the truck and went to call for help then realized the portable radio was still in the cabin, so one of them had to climb back in to get it then call for assistance. The next brigade activated were despatched to a truck fire (They weren't told it was a fire truck) and arrived on scene to find a smoking pumper that had been put out with a dry chem extinguisher...

DOH!:p

Heck...that ain't nothin'. If you want a real flame job....follow my engine into a wildfire someday....and park where I tell you not to.

The "flames" will be almost lifelike....and free!:D

Seriously....that shop does some great work. The price must be pretty hot too!:p

I once responded to a car accident in a hooptie of a rescue truck. The truck's muffler caught something underneath it on fire about halfway to the accident. We had to pull over and put it out with an extinguisher before proceeding to the real accident! That was particularly embarrassing with the heavy traffic at the time. That wasn't the end of it though, we lost a compartment door on the way back to the station. Never found it again. It is probably still laying in the ditch somewhere! What a piece of crap that truck was!

The world’s longest running wheelstander (run of 5,184 feet), Ladder Truck #33, races on tracks across the U.S. to remind the public of the tremendous work that professional fire fighters do every day. Sporting an IAFF logo, it is all the rage with fire fighters and the public alike.

A wheelstander is vehicle that lifts off its front wheels and runs on back wheels only. The length of the run is determined on how far the vehicle goes on two wheels.

The truck also promotes fire safety at home by helping members of Rescue 1 Fire Safety for Kids distribute Fire Safety for Kids booklets and coloring books to visitors.

Rescue 1 Fire Safety for Kids program is run by Grand Rapids, MI Local 366 member Jeff Steere. It is a unique and comprehensive program that combines the excitement of motor sports with the promotion of home fire safety and smoke detectors.

The Ladder Truck #33 wheelstander designed, engineered, built and driven by 52-year old Jon Oswell of Harwich (Cape Cod) Mass. Oswall has been transporting the fire truck for display to state and national car racing events since February of 2002.

“We invite IAFF members to be part of our crew and give them an opportunity to mingle and interact with the public in a non-emergency situation,” explains Oswell.

Visit www.wheelstander.com for more information. You can sponsor Oswell’s show and order their Ladder Truck #33 T-Shirt by emailing him at Willies33@aol.com. Five dollars from sale of every T-Shirt will go towards the New York Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund.

it would indeed look better on my ram.
They have to look nice- especially when they won't sell off the lot or are always in the garage being repaired!:D
