HiHo Everyone:
ChiefReason here. I had no idea that there was a thread in here wishing me a happy birthday. At the IACOJ meeting last night, everyone somehow knew that it was my birthday. Maybe it's in my profile. Anyway, I really appreciate the good wishes.
Mrs. ChiefReason got me a new set of golf irons, a pair of "casual sport shoes" and a Fuentes Fuentes Opus X cigar for my birthday. She's such a good woman. We dined on prime rib and catfish. We started off with an amaretto and coke for her and an Absolut Bloody Mary for me. After dinner, I smoke the celebratory cigar and we watched a movie. I gave up getting crazy on my birthday a long time ago. I got new glasses, as my eyes have gotten worse. That sucks. I also found out that the football team that I played on at our high school has been selected for our school's Hall of Fame. That's a pretty cool birthday present. All in all, it was a great week. I also passed my annual physical with flying colors; BP 124/72!
So, thanks to all who remembered me; a kid born dirt poor to a family of 7 sisters with no brothers; a dad who hunted for the meat that we ate; a family who planted a 2-acre garden for its vegetables and weren't too proud to do odd jobs for extra money. One thing that we had plenty of and that was love. That and football prepared me well for the "Ultimate Team Sport".
Thanks everyone.

OMG: a kid born dirt poor to a family of 7 sisters with no brothers

That alone should have prepared you for anything including WWIII if it ever comes about! :D Pfire says: "Can you say PMS?"

No internet access at the station - I feel so out of touch.

Chief,
Another year older & wiser. Congratulations.
