Color Guard

We are interested in putting together a color guard unit for our department. I am looking for any information available on the subject. Is there any manuals or guidelines on the different functions, procedures for a parade versus a funeral, posting colors at functions, & so on. Any help would be appreciated.

Check with your area VFW. They will have military SOPs probably or some good ideas as to how to adapt it to the fire service, they helped us alot.

You might check you local National Guard we borrowed their drill manuals and then adapted them to fit our needs
