I'm certain this will get more press than it has initially, however, here is the preliminary news coming out of Rhode Island.

Driver killed after car hits fire truck
(Stations: CORRECTS name of road
(Smithfield-AP) -- A motorist was killed this afternoon in a
collision with a fire truck in Smithfield.
Police say 23-year-old Darren McPeak of Smithfield died at the
scene of the crash.
The preliminary investigation shows McPeak was traveling west
about 3 p-m on Pleasant View Avenue.
Police say he was rounding a curve when he crossed the center
line and struck the front end of a ladder truck.
One firefighter suffered cuts to his legs and another
firefighter was uninjured.
Police are still investigating the crash.
