Daytona Beach Fire Faces Budget Cuts

Just weeks after the Fire Chief of Daytona Beach Fire Department parted ways with the city, the Fire Department Budgetis about to be cut. The former Chief terminated his employment in an effort to make a "statement" that he would stick to his guns and support the needs of his department and not endure budget cuts at the hands of city officials.

Twenty-five people would still lose their jobs -- including 10 police officers and four code inspectors -- unless commissioners can find another $1 million in cuts or new revenue.

Pi** Poor Management....that's all. They'd replace the sand on Daytona's Beach...rather then spend money on services. The finance officers should be ashamed of themselves.
