An demonstration of a new aerial platform at the Fitchburg, MA FD was interrupted when a swarm of approximately 15,000 honeybees decided to "party" where they were doing the demonstration....at the bucket 50 feet up in the air! :eek:

Beekeepers was called in to take care of the bees. Nobody was stung, according to Deputy Chief Stephen Morand.

I know and am friends with several of the guys on the group and I haven't had a chance to talk to them yet.

The article in the paper said that they were testing a new E-One tower and were bringing the bucket in to place on the roof of the station when a swarm of bees on the roof saw them and decided that they wanted to be territiorial. I'm sure the bucket just couldn't get down fast enough for the boys in it. I'm curious to hear about the ribbing going on at the house.
