Question for the IACOJ board of directors..

I received a PM form a Junior Firefighter/Explorer asking to join the IACOJ.

Personally, I feel that crust must be earned, however, it is part of our creed to take the next generation under our wing...

I am proposing that we start an IACOJ Auxiliary for juniors and Explorers. All of their learning experiences can be put into a "crust fund" to help them form their crust when they become full fledged firefighters. Your input is welcomed....

I think that an auxilary is a great idea!!! It will instill the values of which our fine organization holds near and dear as well as trying to MUTTPROOF them. We have an absolutely great bunch of people here, we can help them to uphold the past while forging ahead, (superchef can help them to know what good eating is all about too!)
The juniors, explorers, or whatever they might be called are the future of our job, if we don't teach them the right way, WHO WILL!!!!

I agree with you all it's a great ideal
who is better to teach them, them IACOJ,
look at the group we have firefighters,
EMT-P,fire cheif, we have all kind of people around the world in this group
and they would learn from the best.
and you know superchef would teach them
how to cook greatest meals in the world.
I would love to be a junior or an Explorer
to join a department like this. it's just my thoughts, I'll be waiting to see what happens. Dennis

I will vote yes on the proposal. I also concur that if they show the least bit of "pupness" that they should be removed from the explorer program and the BMI will....... well you know...........;)

Chief Reason here. This BOD member casts "aye". Your little doughboys shall be fluffy; not stuffy until they reach a state of worthiness.
IACOJ Doughboys: be advised and duly warned; the BMI, unlike the CIA and FBI, shares its information. Don't turn "mutt" and everything will be OK. That voice you will hear in your head will be mine!

Be advised that the BMI is now on full alert. I ask that 1835 get a list of all the new or potential doughboys so that we may begin or background and mutt checks.

If it comes to our attention that you have posted muttish/pupish comments on other forums, they will be investigated too.

If there is anything in your past that might be construed as evidence against letting you into the IACOJ, then it is best to come clean up front. It will be better for you if you confess and apologize. Apologies do NOT automatically equal forgivness. However, if you are apologetic we might look lightly on your past mistakes.

If you are found to be a pup or a mutt, action will be taken. Seeing how the IWT will come after the BMI for taking action on this website, you WILL be publicly stoned to internet death on the IACOJ website or another website of the BMI's choosing.

I never became an "official" member, but....I vote NO..dont wanna make it to easy for the lil rascals (wink wink).Remember that crabby old guy that scared the s*** out of you when you got started? He turned out to be ok ONCE YOU PROVED YOURSELF...So in keeping with that spirit I still vote NO ! :p
