Congradulations!!!!

Break out the Guinness. :D :p :D

No seriously I actually noticed on another post someone wanted to know how to reach the BMI. I think the thread had something to do with fraud, more specifically a guy posing as a fire fighter and selling stuff on Ebay. Sorry I don't remember who started the thread... looks like you guys have work already. :)

*sirens blaring in the background*

The Mutt alarm has just sounded!!!

Dave, does the BMI travel in one big SWAT team-type vehicle or do we travel seperately?

As your Traffic Control Officer, my first official duty will be a "Sign Safety" course. First lesson will be scene size-up and hazard considerations for the seasoned fire officer. Prerequesite: A "crusty" scab on the old kisser!!

Stealth is the key to Mutt catching........single vehicle......one shot, one exposed.....no mutt is safe now that the BMI is in operation.

We do of course have an alternative firepower plan, kinda has the same effect as waiting too long to light your gas grill....ahhhh another topic for a post......:D

Oh man, I missed the election. My name didn't even make it onto any of the ballots. I knew I shouldn't have taken that trip to Florida!

Oh well, I guess my only hope is to report back to the staging area and hope that someone needs me as part of their team…

I think Firefighter26 should be in charge of entertainment.

Hey LT, are you serving scotch?

Dave

05-10-2002, 03:16 PM
Well, if anyone is familiar with fh.com chat, I was in charge of the bar and entertainment there until things got, well, lets say, a little out of hand and the bar was remodeled into a coffee room (they even took out the 20 person hot tub and stage, complete with brass pole.. I worked pretty hard to make sure that brass pole was nice and shinny  ).

I am pretty much willing to take any opening offered, if the I.A.C.O.J. is willing to accept me.

I think firefighter26 should be an assistant in the BMI, he likes to play with small explosives.

Speaking of jobs... I am standing on my head in the corner again, waiting for someone to give me something to do. :)

I say chaps, would your Association have room for an overseas branch?

I'm pretty certain to have a window in my diary for any conventions or get togethers the Association may have planned on "your side of the pond"

P.S. Would one of you fellows be so kind as to explain the terminology of a "mutt" as they are usually stray dogs in this part of the world.

Yours with regards
:D :D :D

MartinM...

It is the International Association of Crusty Old Jakes...we are in dire need of representation on the other side of the pond, consider yourself to be "encrusted"...we also need reps from Down under, how about it, Fierys?

A mutt is anyone who does not support their local firefighters or impedes them in the performance of their duties (on both the physical (those who harass firefighters while they are working) and fiscal fronts, (ie. the politicians who tell you one thing and do another) or someone who abuses the services that we provide...for example, a "frequent flyer" for medical emergencies who refuses to take their medications or care of themselves and call you in the middle of the night because "they have a headache"...then they refuse treatment or transport to a hospital, the people you have to constantly cite for code volations, those who refuse to cooperate with you, etc.

Captain Gonzo,

You Sir are most kind and quite correct I am very, very crusty.

Thank you for including me in your ranks. I look forward to receiving my membership details, tie, (you do have a club tie don't you, all the best ones do), and monthly newsletter.

CAPTAIN GONZO,
Sir,I was wondering if you had anything I could do? I am very artistic and have designed several custom T-shirts(I airbrush),pictures, posters logo's,even tattoos for people. I offer my talent if you have any ideas you would like to illustrate or any logo or cartoon character or anything you want drawn up. I can recreate any drawings or pictures or create from scratch whatever you like.If you are interested send me a PM including a pic of what you want or description,or a way to get ahold of you so we can talk...
I would be honored to do this, and of course at no cost for whatever design I produce.
I hope to hear from you soon:D :D
Sincerely,
Gen

Dear Temptaker,

I was refering to a necktie, with perhaps a smart logo or Association badge printed on it. We crusty Brits are very fond of our ties.

P.S. Please. not a black clip on one such as I have to wear with my dress uniform. :( ;)

Congratulations to all of our appointed and elected officials. Although I am not sure where I have landed as far as position. I think I need clarification me head is still a bit foggy from a record setting GUINNESS weekend. May I suggest the first mutt we hunt down is they guy who was throwing shots at me as I rode my motorcycle through my neighborhood. I guess kevlar will have to be part of my riding apparel from now on.

I know you were talking about a necktie. Actually in thinking about a necktie, although I have never designed one before. I may have to add another the patch so together they would be more esthetically pleasing.

I'll get back to you with it....

An appetizer buffet for everyone out there.........

Brushetta of Cherry Tomatoes

Stuffed Baby Potatoes (assorted red, purple, gold potatoes)

Rigatoni with Tomato basil mushroom sauce

Warm Goat Cheese Salad with Grilled Olive Bread

Miniature Assorted Vegetable Quiches

I will also be needing one or two assistants to help with the slicing and dicing.

Chili (added at the request of Chief Reason).

I am always open to any and all requests, post here, email me or send me a PM. ;) :D

HiHo IACOJ members one and all:
Chief Reason here. I would be honored to fill in for JTL until his return in July. Officers and Board, please let me know.
Temptaker; GENAFIRE is offering assistance on IACOJ designer items. Perhaps you could collaborate.
BMI; I think that it is imperative that we get a crew to Utica, NY. More later.
Superchef; I thought that we agreed that every meal would be served with a side dish of chili?
Captain Gonzo; do you have any orders for me?
1835wayne; maybe we can consolidate the IACOJ threads?
If we do a newsletter, who will serve as editorial board? There are alot out there wanting to help.
All for now.
Gotta check out another thread.
IMACOJ and proud of it.

Perhaps we should go ahead and start a website for ourselves like the F.O.O.L.S. site. I have a friend who does this sort of thing. Let me know here on this thread or by PM or e-mail.
If we do this, I think we should accept pictures of members helmets and use the CRUSTIEST of them on the opening page!!:D

Esteemed Pres. Gonzo, what say you??:D

Neck-tie-NO WAY!!!!

Ties are an evil invention of misguided feminists of either gender. Real men don't wear them. don't want them, don't need them! Design a ball-cap instead, make it leather. To quote the King of Sweden "I don't need no snake around my neck". Import him and the Swedish 'Bikini Team'.

Temptaker
05-14-2002, 02:51 AM
Gen... you heard it here, neckties for England, ball caps for US. I'm sure that we could throw in a t-shirt or two as well. Be glad to have your help if you are still interested.

superchef... that was great thanks. :) I'll get the dishes.

SB500... you'd be great for a news letter. :)

I also support Chief Reason filling in for JTL until his return, and another aye for the website.

leatha4eva... nice pic hehe:D

Ok so ball caps it is then. Should they be departmental issue or standard? Meaning, should the BMI have their own or just one for the IACOJ? I think it is safe to assume they should be leather. I will do up another patch, and then maybe we could do a poll on which one is best, or if you would like something else all together.

1835wayne can I leave the poll in your hands once I have posted the third patch? Maybe they should all be shown together to make the voting easier.

Captain Gonzo... or more correctly Pres. Gonzo, did you have any idea that this thread would have this kind of response???

Does the I.A.C.O.J. have a mentoring program?:D

I hope it's ok if I pull up a chair and just listen, I have some crust and I'm old, but my crust isn't that old.

I'll be happy to clean the rec room, wash the trucks, and pack the hose!!

Seriously, if any of you don't mind your brains being picked, I am a new Lt. in my dept. and I am working hard to get up to speed. It would be extremely helpful if I could PM a few scenarios to a C.O.J. to help!

Definitely! When Artie posted this link on IACOJ, I decided to come here and do a search. Something like 934 threads came up under IACOJ! Quite the little trip down memory lane. And rather interesting to see how it all came about. Didn't know you were the one who suggested a website in the first place, Wayne. Or if I did know, I'd forgotten. Heyyyyyyyyyy no cracks about old age, thank you very much!!!!
